"Now That's a Halibut!"

A fisherman rowing a dory with a large halibut.

He is using an alternate stroke method of rowing to help navigate large rolling waves, or swell.

He is wearing 'oil clothes' - oiled leather, foul weather gear.

The idea for this work came from an online picture of a fisherman rowing up to a Schooner.
